Intermediate Glazing Techniques

This intermediate glazing class focuses on expanding your control and understanding of surface finishes. Led by glaze researcher Silvia, the session will introduce a range of practical techniques, including masking, taping, waxing, glaze overlap, and splashing etc...

The class will also include a short refresher on essential methods such as dipping and pouring, along with tips and tricks to improve consistency and achieve more predictable results.

Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how to combine techniques and approach glazing with more confidence and intention.

  • Please make sure to bring bisque ware with you so you have someting to practice the techniques in the class.

    • 2 hours of class time.

    • Demonstration by Silva.

    • Firing fee is not included.

    • Single Session of 2 hours
