-
A: Nope! If you’d prefer, we can just bisque fire your work instead. This is charged at our standard studio rate of €10/kg.
-
A: Not at all. You can bring your work in at any stage, and we’ll take care of the drying and firing process for you.
-
A: Yes - avoid making pieces too thick. Walls should generally be no more than 2cm thick. Thicker sections can risk exploding in the kiln, so if your piece has a particularly chunky part, be sure to hollow it out before bringing it in.
-
A: Check out our Firing Service page for details on kiln sizes and space limitations.
-
A: In some cases, yes. We cannot fire pieces that contain air pockets unless they have a vent hole. Additionally, all pieces must be made only with the provided clay. Anything containing foreign materials like leaves, paper, or fabric will be rejected.
-
A: The full process takes time! Each piece needs to go through the kiln twice—once for bisque firing and again after glazing. Plus, our glazing experts carefully apply the glaze before the second firing. Each firing alone takes about two days, and we estimate three weeks to complete all necessary steps.
-
A: It depends! Some pieces may be ready sooner, while others could take longer. Our firing schedule is based on the kiln workload and how pieces fit into each firing cycle.
-
A: No rush! We’ll store your finished pieces for up to one month after firing.
-
A: Nope! You can use your credits however you like. If you don’t use them all in one go, we’ll keep track of what you have left.
-
A: We only allow one glaze colour per item.
